Day-by-day programme

  1. Day 1

    Zanzibar → Nyerere National Park

    Short scenic flight from Zanzibar over the coast and Rufiji delta, landing at Mtemere or Siwandu airstrip. Your guide meets the plane for a game drive transfer to camp. Lunch and siesta through the heat, then an afternoon drive along the river channels for elephant, giraffe, buffalo and the reserve's famous wild dog packs. Sundowner and dinner under the stars.

  2. Day 2

    Boat safari & walking safari

    Morning boat safari on the Rufiji River and its lakes — hippo pods, crocodile on the sandbanks, fish eagles and skimmers, with elephants coming down to drink. Back to camp for brunch, then a guided walking safari with an armed ranger in the late afternoon, learning tracks, trees and the small details you miss from a vehicle.

  3. Day 3

    Final game drive → Zanzibar

    Sunrise game drive through the lake circuit while the predators are still active, then breakfast back at camp and check-out. Transfer to the airstrip for the late-morning flight to Zanzibar, where our driver meets you at the airport for the transfer to your hotel or onward beach stay.
