Do you pick up from my hotel?+
Yes. All day tours include pick-up and drop-off anywhere on Unguja island — Nungwi, Kendwa, Matemwe, Paje, Jambiani, Michamvi or Stone Town.
What is the best time to visit Zanzibar?+
June to October and December to February are dry and sunny. April and May bring the long rains, when many hotels close or drop prices sharply.
How do I pay?+
Cash in USD or Tanzanian shillings on the day, or bank transfer in advance for safaris and multi-day packages. Card payment can be arranged on request.
Do I need a visa?+
Most nationalities need a Tanzanian visa, available online or on arrival at Zanzibar airport for USD 50 (USD 100 for US passports). Yellow fever certificates are required only if arriving from an endemic country.
Is it safe for solo and female travellers?+
Zanzibar is generally safe and welcoming. Our guides accompany you throughout, and we advise modest dress in villages and Stone Town out of respect for local custom.
Can tours be private?+
Every tour on this site can be run privately with your own guide, vehicle and boat. Tell us your group size and we'll quote it.
What should I bring on a day tour?+
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, some cash for souvenirs and a waterproof bag for your phone. We provide water and snorkelling gear.
What happens if the weather is bad?+
Ocean trips depend on wind and tide. If conditions are unsafe we move your tour to another day or refund it in full — we never sail when it isn't safe.
